An artist can produce images that transcend documentation to reach beyond the limits of the subject matter. Imagination, expression, abstraction, composition, emotion, time, communication, aesthetics, reality, relationships, drama and humanism are some of the dimensions to explore when photographing architecture. The skill of the architecture photographer will determine if the images are documentation or art.
